Hi there, welcome to my blog! Let me introduce myself, my name is Ian Desramaut and I was born and raised in Bruges, Belgium. For the last 5 years, I have been living in London and I see so many differences in the lifestyle here in London compared to Belgium.

When I talk to people in England, they know about Belgium but not in the way you would think! Do they discuss our world-famous chocolate? Do they talk about our delicious, mouth-watering waffles? Do they talk about the fact that Antwerp is the diamond capital of the world and without our help their wives and girlfriends wouldn’t be wearing that beautiful ring? No, they say they have been to Belgium on a cheap tobacco run… How sad.

But that is fine! You see, when I first came to London I was of course attracted to the bright lights, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and all the usual trappings for a visitor. But instead I found a new love and passion, casinos!

I’ve always liked the excitement, challenge and pure adrenaline of playing casino games but in my home country things are so much different. In Belgium, there are less than 10 land based casinos in the whole country, can you imagine that? Although gambling is legal in Belgium, there are very few places to enjoy it. Online, the situation is even worse. I watch the adverts on English television and I envy the big selection of sites you can choose from.

That is why I decided to write this blog, to let you share my experiences as a relative newcomer to your shores and to let you have an insight into my attempts to win big. Will I be successful? I sure hope so! I look forward to speaking to you again soon.
